The network of educators, business executives, and policymakers involved in the ICIC is focused on the development of business partnerships and promoting research activities. Members of the network will benefit from the exchange of ideas and the development of alliances and partnerships before, during and after the conference. Long terms goals may include:
Educators
- Development of collaborative research activities.
- Opportunities to develop an understanding of the needs and issues confronting business and policymakers in the construction environment.
- Development of collaborative research efforts with businesses and scholars from throughout the world.
- Participation in forums to examine relevant research needs and ideas to generate potentially creative solutions to problems confronting industry and governments from across the globe.
- Identification and exploration of emerging technologies for research activities and their impact on business, education, and government.
- Identification of possible funding sources for research activities.
- Identify quality international doctorate schools to address the needs of industry and to bring researchers from all over the world together.
- Establish an industry research agenda to facilitate the construction work and improve productivity across continents. This could attract large international organizations to share and exchange their experience and problems with international academics. The ICIC network provides opportunities for high profile academics to work with CEOs of international companies and decision- makers from around the globe.
